Forever Foster Program

Become a Forever Foster Family

What is a Forever Foster Family?

A forever Foster Family is a extended long term, permanent, caregiver for a foster dog that is not currently adoptable. Due to the nature of their instability, these dogs are considered nearly or fully un-adoptable yet are still able to live with a decent QOL (quality of life). A dog may become a Forever Foster for a variety of reasons including but not limited to; Age, disability, long term and consistent medical needs, emotional needs, temperament, final stages of illness or life or any other instability that makes the dog un-adoptable.

The Forever Foster dog will live in their Forever Foster home for the rest of their lives with full support from the Arizona Beagle Rescue. AZBR will pay for their vetting and care for the remainder of their life.

Due to unknown future life expectancy and unknown medical costs, we offer our Forever Foster program to help loving caregivers take care of these deserving dogs. We bring these dogs out of the shelters and into our program to allow them a chance to live a full, happy and comfortable life for the remainder of their years.

Where does funding come from to support the Forever Fosters and their caregivers?

Our only funding for this program comes from cash donation. There are a variety of ways to donate including sponsoring a specific Forever Foster. If you can, please consider donating so that we can continue to support this program. We are a 501(c)(3), IRS recognized non-profit organization, so all donations to AZBR are tax deductible.
